Side Effects
Hypersensitivity, chest discomfort and palpitations may occur. Occasionally nausea, vomiting and phlebitis may occur.

Indication
Recommended for provision of amino acids and energy in patients who require intravenous nutrition. Such conditions include surgery, infections, trauma, burns, prolonged disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, protein deficiency, preparation of patients for surgery, chemotherapy or radiation therapy, prolonged coma or refusal to eat.
When not to Use
Hypersensitivity to any ingredient of the preparation. Hereditary fructose intolerance, hepatic coma, azotemia, congestive cardiac failure, severe acidosis and disturbances of amino acid metabolism.
Aminovel-600 Without Precautions
Precaution
Aminovel 600 should be administered with care in patients with severe hepatic and renal disorders, diabetes mellitus and in elderly.
Aminovel-600 Without Warnings
Warning 1
Care is required in patients with reduced urine output due to high potassium content.
Warning 2
It should be used in pregnant patients after careful assessment and only if the therapeutic benefits outweigh any potential risks associated with the treatment.
Warning 3
The infusion rate should be slowed in elderly and severely ill patients.
